Rajkummar Rao, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon starrer romantic-comedy Bareilly Ki Barfi completed seven years since its release on Sunday. The Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari directorial hit the theatres on August 18, 2017.

To celebrate the occasion, the director posted some behind-the-scenes pictures from the making of the film. In the caption, she thanked her mother for believing in her. 7 years #Bareillykibarfi. Gratitude for the love. And specially for you Amma, the cinema lover. I made Bareilly ki Barfi when the kids were 5 years old. But with Your insane confidence in me and telling that there is no reason to feel guilty about following your dream. “I am there “ Your words gave me the wings to follow the unknown path. Now when i look back there are so many anecdotes that i will savour always. I hope I continue to tell stories from the heart and make you proud.”

Based on Nicolas Barreau's novel The Ingredients of Love, Bareilly Ki Barfi is a love-triangle story of Bitti (Kriti Sanon), Chirag (Ayushmann) and Pritam (Rajkummar). The film also starred Pankaj Tripathi and Seema Pahwa.
