Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s Bad Newz has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the global box-office, the makers said on Friday. The film has managed to mint Rs 102.77 crore in two weeks. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film also stars Ammy Virk and Neha Dhupia in pivotal roles.

Sharing the news, the makers shared a poster of the film and wrote in the caption, “Aapka pyaar ‘one in a million nahi, one in a billion hai’!”

The film tells the story of a woman (Triptii), who gets pregnant with twins with two different men in a rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation, a reproductive process in which twin children have the same mother but different biological fathers.

Produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra, Apoorva Mehta and Karan Johar, Bad Newz was released in theatres on July 19.

An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, “Bad Newz becomes tiresome because of a stretched, wobbly screenplay. The whole plotline of Saloni marrying and divorcing and then sleeping with another man seems to be crafted to avoid judgement from a conservative audience, who would probably scoff if she were just a liberated girl with more than one partner. The film is a bunch of gags joined together by a thin thread.”
