The makers of My Melbourne, an anthology featuring a story each from filmmakers Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Rima Das, and Onir, among others, have dropped a trailer for the film. According to the official logline, "Themed around the four pillars of diversity — sexuality, gender, disability, and race — the anthology film My Melbourne features four unique diverse stories based on true incidents."

Screen Australia and VicScreen back the film, which assembles the said Indian filmmakers and up-and-coming filmmakers. The anthology is slated for a premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on August 15.

Onir and William Duan direct Nandini, which tells the story of reconnection between an Indian queer person and his father. Imtiaz Ali serves as a creative director on co-directors Tammy Yang and Arif Ali's Jules, which is about the friendship between an individual with no home and a newlywed. Rima Das and Samira Coxx direct Emma, which charts the journey of a deaf dancer towards self-acceptance. On the other hand, Rahul Vohra, Puneet Gulati, and Kabir Khan direct Setara, which is about a young refugee from Afghanistan who finds her footing in Melbourne through cricket. The film also stars former Australian cricketer Brad Hodge.
