Piyush Mishra recently spoke about Anurag Kashyap and said that he used to be a honest man earlier and also added that he doesn’t know what he is like today. Piyush has collaborated with the director on films like Gulaal (2009) and Gangs of Wasseypur (2012).

In a conversation with Dainik Jagran, Piyush spoke about the experience of working in Gulaal where he donned multiple roles. He said, “Nobody asked him for money. It was during Anurag’s struggle phase, and everybody wanted to help him out. His film Paanch (2003) had been stalled, Black Friday (2005) was in trouble, and he was everybody’s laadla. I took Rs 2 lakh in total, for music, singing, lyrics, acting, and my own dialogues. The most important thing at the time was that his film gets released.”

He added, “Everybody loved him, that was the kind of person he was. I don’t know what he’s like now, but he used to be a very honest man.”

In an earlier interaction with Lallantop, Piyush had said that their political views don’t match and when they meet, there is not much to talk about.

Piyush last acted in the Tamil film, Indian 2, which starred Kamal Haasan in the lead. Anurag was last seen in the crime-thriller series Bad Cop.
