Varun Grover’s directorial debut film All India Rank will be released on Netflix on April 19, the makers announced on Monday. The film is presented by Sriram Raghavan and stars Bodhisattva Sharma, Samta Sudiksha, Shashi Bhushan, Geeta Agrawal, Sheeba Chaddha, Neeraj, Ayush Pandey, Saadat Khan in pivotal roles.

It tells the story of a 17-year-old Vivek, who attends a coaching class in Kota in the 1990s in order to prepare for the IIT JEE entrance exams. He struggles with the ambitions and mediocrity of his parents, who face their own hurdles living away from their only son.

The film had its world premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam in February 2023 where it was shown as the closing film. Since then, the film has been shown at MAMI Film Festival and Dharamshala International Film Festival where it was the opening film. It is produced by Sanjay Routray and Sarita Patil and was released in theatres on February 23.
