Madgaon Express crosses Rs 20 crore at the box office

Kunal Kemmu’s Madgaon Express has done business of over Rs 20 crore at the box office since its release on March 22. The film stars Divyendu Sharma, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, Nora Fatehi, Chhaya Kadam and Upendra Limaye.

The film opened up to positive reviews with praises showered on Kunal’s writing and the performances of all the actors. It had a gradual growth at the box-office in the first week. After that, it made 71 lakhs on the second Monday, Rs. 65 lakhs on Tuesday, Rs. 62 lakhs on Wednesday, and Rs. 60 lakhs on Thursday, closing the two weeks total with Rs. 20.33 crores.

Madgaon Express tells the story of three youngsters who have dreamt of making a trip to Goa since childhood. When they finally make it, they fall into absurd situations filled with drugs, gangsters and cops on their trail. It is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
