Singer Guru Randhawa to lead Shahkot

Singer Guru Randhawa is all set to headline the upcoming Hindi film, Shahkot. The film, which is set to hit screens on February 9, 2024, is said to be a pan-Indian film.  

Guru will be seen as Iqbal Singh, a determined Punjabi youth who decides to pursue his passion of venturing abroad, only for his life to take an unexpected turn. Isha Talwar is all set to play Guru's love interest in Shahkot

Isha will play Raj Babbar's daughter, who has spent her entire life in his care. Shahkot will also feature Hardip Gill as a corrupt police officer and Gurhabad as Iqbal's trusted friend. 

The film is helmed by Rajiv Dhingra, who is known for productions like Love Punjab and Firangi. As per a report on IANS, the director said, "With Shahkot we endeavour to create a film that not only entertains but also resonates with audiences on a global scale. It's a story that speaks to the heart, exploring the timeless dilemma of love versus duty."

Shahkot is currently being filmed in picturesque locations like Kashmir and Canada, among others.
