Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, the sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, will be streaming on Zee 5 from October 6 onwards. Directed by Anil Sharma, who also directed the original, Gadar 2 also brought back Sunny Deol as Tara Singh and Ameesha Patel as Sakina. 

Gadar was loosely based on the tragic love story between British Indian Army World War II veteran Boota Singh and a young Muslim woman named Zainab against the backdrop of the Partition. The sequel will also feature director Anil Sharma's son, Utkarsh Sharma, who appeared in the first part as Tara and Sakina's child, Jeete.

Gadar 2 hit the theatres on August 11 and opened t negative to mixed reception. An excerpt from CE review of the film," Sunny Deol returns as Tara Singh to spare hand pumps but not Pakistanis in this futile sequel."

Apart from the leading duo, the film also stars an ensemble cast including Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Luv Sinha and Simratt Kaur Randhawa.
