Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 will soon be released on OTT. After a successful run at the box office, the film is slated to release on Netflix on October 8. The film also stars Yami Gautam.

Directed by Amit Rai, the film was released in theatres on August 11. As per Bollywood Hungama, OMG 2 had a domestic lifetime collection of about Rs 150 crore.

The sequel to the 2012 OMG featuring Akshay and Paresh Rawal, OMG 2 takes up the rather pertinent topic of sex education in India. If OMG featured Akshay as Lord Krishna, the sequel has the actor playing the role of Lord Mahakaal. Incidentally, the sequel ran into hot water for its 'controversial' storyline that espoused the need for children to be taught sex education in school.

Earlier, in an interview with PTI, director Amit had said that they fought to get the film a U/A certificate but had to ultimately release it with an A certificate and some modifications. He added that the film will be available without any cuts or censorship on OTT.
