Actor Karan Singh Chhabra will be starring in the upcoming Hindi film Chatrapathi in which the actor says that he went lengths and breadth to play his role. Along with other efforts to get into the skin of the character, the actor has also gone bald for an important scene.

Talking about his experience, the actor was quoted as saying by IANS, "So when I was told about the role, I was told to see the part of Ashok which in 2005 was the iconic SS Rajamouli Villain of this cult Telugu film called Chatrapathi. There was a scene in which he gets punished and his head is shaved in front thousands of people.”

He added, “I initially assumed there must be a wig or some camera angle would be used but the scene required me to get bald for real and that too we cannot do any retakes. But now when I look back at some of the scenes we shot, I feel that all the Blood, Sweat and Hair (literally) that I gave were worth it. I am grateful that my effort left an impact and has resulted well!" he said.

Chatrapathi stars Bellamkonda Srinivas, Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Shivam Patil, Swapnil, Ashish Singh, Mohammed Monajir, Vedika and Jason in supporting roles. The film is slated to release on May 12. Directed by VV Vinayak, it is a remake of SS Rajamouli’s 2005 film of the same name.
