On Wednesday, the makers of 8 AM Metro released the film's official trailer. Written and directed by Raj R, the film stars Gulshan Deviah and Saiyami Kher in lead roles.

The trailer shows Saiyami's Iravati meeting Gulshan's Preetam as they take the same metro at 8 am. Iravati's prosaic life as a homemaker in Nanded is turned upside down when she has to rush to Hyderabad to help her pregnant sister, who is confined to bed. Through a series of journeys on the metro train, the duo confide in each other and find solace.  

The film has music by Mark K Robin, and it features songs written by Kausar Munir, and sung by artists like Jubin Nautiyal, Jonita Gandhi, Javed Ali, Vishal Mishra, and the Nooran Sisters. Lyricist Gulzar has contributed six of his poems to 8 AM Metro. 

8 AM Metro will hit theatres on May 19. Earlier, Raj directed the award-winning Telugu film Mallesham in 2019.
