With Malayalam cinema churning out blockbusters of late, one of the hits of 2022 was Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran-starrer Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. The film, which is reported to be remade in Hindi, is now speculated to feature actor Fatima Sana Shaikh essaying Darshana's role.

However, an official confirmation on the same has not been made yet.  According to reports, Aamir Khan has acquired the remake rights of the Malayalam film and will have Vipin Das, who helmed the original, reprise as director.

Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey is a comedy-drama that satirises the internal strife between a newlywed couple and how the wife tackles the domestic abuse she is subjected to. The film has music composed by Ankit Menon, and cinematography handled by Bablu Aju. The film is co-written by the director along with Nashid Mohamed Famy. Apart from Darshana and Basil, the ensemble cast of the film also includes Anand Manmadhan, Kudassanad Kanakam, Aju Varghese, Azees Nedumangad, Sudheer Paravoor, Manju Pillai, and Noby Marcose.
