Am I Next, a film that tells the story of a 14-year-old rape victim and her long legal battle to terminate her pregnancy, will directly release on ZEE5 on March 17.

The film stars Anushka Sen, who is known for her work in TV shows like Baal Veer and Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. Anushka plays the role of Honey, a schoolgirl who gets raped and follows her struggles to terminate her pregnancy and clear the dirty allegations levelled against her. The film is directed by Rahat Kazmi.

Talking about the film, Anushka said, “I believe we are addressing a very important issue via this film. Playing this character had its own set of challenges, but I am glad that finally, the audience will get a chance to watch this film on ZEE5.”

Producer turned director Rahat said, “Am I Next is extremely special to me because of its powerful story. With a lot of research, we managed to make a film that will connect with the audience.”

The film has won various awards at different film festivals. It won the ‘Best Film- Social Cause Award’ at the Indian Film Festival of Boston and ‘Best Feature Film’ at Sweden Film Awards. It also won the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award- Narrative Feature’ at World Film Carnival, Singapore.
