Trailer of Prime Video's Horror series Adhura is out

Prime Video dropped the trailer of the upcoming horror series, Adhura starring Rasika Dugal and Ishwak Singh, in significant roles. The seven-episode series is written by Ananya Banerjee, who has also directed it along with Gauravv K Chawla. The series will stream on July 7. 

Set around the themes of guilt, remorse and revenge, Adhura unfolds through two timelines, in 2022 and 2007, as secrets and chilling events plague the students and staff of a prestigious boarding school in Ooty, "What starts as a nostalgic reunion turns sinister when Adhiraj Jaisingh (Ishwak Singh) encounters Vedant Malik (Shrenik Arora), a troubled 10-year-old student. As the past and present collide, a dark secret threatens to emerge, linking Adhiraj to Vedant," the official plotline read.

Besides, Rasika Dugal and Ishwak Singh Adhura feature an ensemble cast, including Shrenik Arora, Poojan Chhabra, Zoa Morani, Sahil Salathia, Aru Krishansh Verma, Rijul Ray, and Rahul Dev in pivotal roles. 

Ishwak Singh, who plays Adhiraj, said it was an intense experience, "Stepping into the shoes of Adhiraj in Adhura has been intense. The series masterfully combines the elements of supernatural and disturbing and has a vivid tapestry of emotions that makes the storytelling very poignant," shared Ishwak Singh

Meanwhile, Rasika Dugal, who essays the character Supriya, a student counsellor, said, "As an actor, I found it extremely interesting to explore the life of a person who is seemingly in complete control… only to realise, as the story unfolds, that no one is free from their inner demons. That's why I was thrilled that a character like Supriya came my way,"
