Blind teaser: Sonam Kapoor plays a visually impaired woman searching for a kidnapper

The film also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lilette Dubey

Sonam Kapoor is making a comeback. The teaser of her upcoming streaming film Blind dropped on Tuesday. The film is scheduled to premiere on JioCinema on July 7.

The 40-second teaser introduces us to Sonam’s character who is visually impaired. She takes a taxi and realises something is amiss. There is probably a hostage in the trunk. The driver, played by Purab Kohli, turns out to be a kidnapper and attacks her. She makes a narrow escape and it is later revealed that there is an abductor on the prowl in the UK who has been kidnapping girls. She files a police complaint but ultimately decides to take matters in her own hands and “put an end to this.” Purab’s character warns her, “You will get stuck in my brain’s darkness”, Sonam replies, “I live in darkness.”

As per reports the film was shot during the pandemic in Glasgow. Vinay Pathak and Lilette Dubey also star in the movie. The film’s crew completed the schedule in 39 days despite the lockdown restrictions. Blind has been directed by Shome Makhija and will be available to stream for free on JioCinema.
