On Thursday, the trailer of I Love You starring Rakul Preet Singh in the lead was released. Directed by Nikhil Mahajan, Akshay Oberoi and Pavail Gulati also have important parts to play alongside Rakul in the film.

The trailer starts with Rakul's voiceover explaining her idea of fairytale love, with montages of her romancing both Akshay and Pavail. While there is a mysterious element revolving around this love triangle of a romance, things soon take a dark turn as betrayal and murder take over from love. 

I Love You is said to be the story of Satya Prabhakar, a Mumbaikar working independent woman whose decision to take her romantic relationship to the next level results in a drastic shift in life. The official logline of the film reads, “The plot unfolds with a series of twists and turns showcasing a thrilling tale of revenge."

Presented by Jio Studios, the film is co-produced by Athena and The Vermillion World Production. I Love You will be available to stream on Jio Cinema from June 16.
