Filmmaker Randeep Jha, who directed the recently released Netflix series Kohrra, opened up about making the riveting series that has opened to positive reception.

The director mentioned the importance of having silences in certain parts of the series, and attributed it for emphasising depth and adding suspense to the story. “In Kohrra, we have strived to create an immersive experience by introducing all our characters through the eyes of the cops. By delving into the hidden aspects and adding moments of silence, we aim to bring forth a narrative that resonates deeply with the audience,” he added.

Starring Suvinder Vicky and Barun Sobti, the series features the actors as police men who try to solve the case of a murder of an NRI, who was killed just before his wedding, in the countryside of Punjab. As the investigation unfolds, a world of deceit, secrets and the dramas of dysfunctional families are revealed. Sudip Sharma, Diggi Sisodia and Gunjit Chopra are the creators of this series, which premiered on the platform on July 15.
