Rakul Preet Singh thanks audiences for showering love on Chhatriwali

Following the release of Chhatriwali, actor Rakul Preet Singh expresses gratitude to the audience for receiving the film well. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, Chhatriwali premiered on ZEE5 on January 20.

Taking to her social media handle, Rakul wrote, "My emotions right now are like this serotonin keychain. Thank you for giving so much love to Sanya. If you have watched Chhatriwali, you know what I mean. If not, today is the day." (sic)

In the film, Rakul portrays Sanya, a married woman who takes up the mantle of sex education and safe sex after her sister-in-law dies of a miscarriage. OTT star Sumit Vyas plays the role of Rakul's husband.

Earlier, speaking about the film, Rakul said that her character in the film inspires others to speak up against unsafe sex and the many implications of not using protection. "India's youth make up the majority of the population, and educating them on safe sex is the need of the hour, so I am glad that Chhatriwali is catering to them and everyone else in a progressive and entertaining manner," she added.
