Satish Kaushik and the team have wrapped up the shoot of Kaagaz 2. The film, a sequel to Kaagaz, a 2021 drama about a man declared dead on government records, has a fresh cast, including Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Smriti Kalra, Satish Kaushik, Anang Desai and Neena Gupta. 

Pankaj Tripathi who headlined the first film is not returning for the sequel. The logo of Kaagaz 2 was launched on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show. Sharing the announcement, Satish, a veteran actor and director, wrote on Instagram, “Marking the completion of the shooting of  Kaagaz2, last night unveiled the logo of the film on the “The Kāpil Sharma Show” Thx a lot Anees Bazmee, Indra Kumar, Archana Puran Singh & Kapil Sharma."

Kaagaz 2 features Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Smriti Kalra, Satish Kaushik, Anang Desai and Neena Gupta.” Popular for portraying genial comic characters onscreen, Satish has also directed films like Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Tere Naam, Tere Sang and others. Kaagaz (2021) saw him returning to the director's chair after a considerable gap. He also played a lawyer in the film.
