Sikkim-based comedian and actor Biswas Timshina will be seen essaying the lead role in Air Force Officer turned filmmaker Sheba Ghosh's debut directorial Kazi. The psychological thriller also stars Heeba Shah, Shishir Sharma, Sunil Thapa and Rahul Nawach Mukhia, among others.

Talking about the role he says, “The offer itself was tempting enough, but honestly, what drew me to the role was the journey the character goes through in the film. I am honoured that the director saw me as the perfect fit to bring it to life.”

"Being a comedian, I am usually stuck playing the hero's funny sidekick, so this was a massive shift for me. Sheba actually saw me in a character I never knew I could inhabit,” Timshina added.

The film will be released on OTT platform Open Theatre on December 18.
