Ajay Devgn's fourth directorial Bholaa has added a new member to its cast. Actor Amala Paul, known for her work in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films, will have a special appearance in Bholaa. She will be seen playing a key role opposite Ajay Devgn.

Amala will be joining the team of Bholaa in the next schedule, which is slated for December this year. Directed by and starring Ajay, Bholaa is a remake of the 2019 Tamil film Kaithi. The story follows an ex-convict who tries to reunite with his daughter. However, his plans are thwarted because of a drug raid planned by an inspector.

Besides Ajay, Bholaa also features Tabu in a leading role. This is Ajay and Tabu's ninth film together. They have previously worked together in Vijaypath (1994), Haqeeqat (1995), Thakshak (1999), Drishyam (2015), Golmaal Again (2017), and De De Pyaar De (2019). They will also appear together in Drishyam 2

Amala Paul, who is making a comeback to Malayalam films after five years with The Teacher, has a couple of other projects lined up as well. She will be seen as one of the female leads in Mammootty's Christopher. The Aadai actor is also starring in Dvija, directed by Aijaz Khan, who has earlier made the two-time National Award-winning film Hamid.

In Tamil, Amala has Kaadhal Konjam Thookala, also starring Dushara Vijayan and Kalidas Jayaram. Ajay was recently seen in Indra Kumar's Thank God, co-starring Sidharth Malhotra.
