Netflix's Indian Matchmaking will be returning for a second season, the streaming giant announced on Wednesday.

In a post on Instagram, Netflix shared a glimpse of the first season to announce the return of Seema Aunty, the Mumbai-based matchmaker, who travels the world and sets up singles, who are mostly NRIs. However, no release date of the sophomore season was announced.

The show's first season became a hit during the pandemic but also drew criticism for being elitist. The show also attracted controversy for its portrayal of Indian traditions perceived as regressive.
