The Telangana High Court had earlier stayed the film's OTT release over a copyright violation case

The Supreme Court on Thursday cleared the release of Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Jhund on OTT.

The film, directed Nagraj Manjule, was released in theatres in March. However, its OTT release on ZEE5 was held up due to an order by the Telangana High Court over a copyright violation case.

Now streaming on ZEE5, Jhund is inspired by the life of football coach Vijay Barse. In 2001, Vijay, a retired sports teacher, founded Slum Soccer, an NGO in Nagpur working for the upliftment of underprivileged kids. He's played in the film by Amitabh as Vijay Borade. The supporting cast is a mix of trained and non-professional actors.
