Anurag Kashyap has cleared the air on his upcoming film with Kriti Sanon. Announced last year, the film has long been rumoured to be a remake of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill.

Speaking at the trailer launch of Dobaaraa, Anurag clarified about his next—"It's not a remake, it's not even a homage. You'll get to know (what it is) when I make it. It's foolish to remake a classic. That film is already there and is a big classic, why remake that?"

Some weeks ago, Anurag had posed for paparazzi pictures wearing a 'Kill Bill - Khoon Bhari Maang' t-shirt, further fuelling the speculations.

"If you had seen my t-shirt which I had worn during the announcement, it had 'Kill Bill' and 'Khoon Bhari Maang' on it," Anurag explained. "'Khoon Bhari Maang' was actually made before 'Kill Bill'. So there's no point telling what I'm making. When I make it, you should watch, decide and tell me."

The as-yet-untitled film also stars Nikhil Dwivedi. Kriti had earlier spoken about the project, describing it as a female-led revenge actioner.

"Anurag doesn’t do remakes," Kriti was quoted as saying. "The film’s world might give you a vibe of a revenge action film, but there have been so many revenge actioners."
