Netflix's Delhi Crime 2 to begin streaming in August

We had earlier reported that Netflix's gripping police procedural, Delhi Crime, was returning for a second season. It has now been announced that the series will begin streaming on August 26.

The new season will see the return of DCP Vartika Chaturvedi (Shefali Shah) spearheading her team that consists of newly promoted Neeti Singh (Rasika Duggal) and Vartika's right-hand man Bhupendra Singh aka Bhupi (Rajesh Tailang), as they embark on another challenging investigation. 

Delhi Crime Season 2 will also have Adil Hussain, Anurag Arora, Sidharth Bhardwaj and Gopal Dutt reprise their roles.

At the 48th International Emmy Awards, the series, which was based on the horrific 2012 gangrape in Delhi, was feted with the honour of the Outstanding Drama Series.

Written by Mayank Tewari, Shubhra Swarup, Ensia Mirza, Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh (Dialogues) and Virat Basoya (Dialogues), the crime drama is created by Richie Mehta, and produced by SK Global Entertainment, Golden Karavan, Film Karavan.

Delhi Crime 2 is directed by Tanuj Chopra who also serves as the showrunner.
