A sequel to Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F-starrer Freddy is reportedly in the works.
Released on Disney+ Hotstar on December 2, Freddy is a romantic thriller directed by Shashank Ghosh. The film follows a reclusive Mumbai dentist, Dr Freddy Ginwala (Kartik), who is tricked in love to commit a murder.
According to a report in Mid-Day, producer Jay Shewakramani has confirmed that a sequel to Freddy is on the cards. "That open-ended bit (enables us) to look at a sequel, which is definitely on the cards. I have told the writers to work on it. When we get a good story, we'll make the sequel," Jay Shewakramani was quoted as saying by Mid-Day.
Despite negative reviews, Freddy has been well received on Disney+ Hotstar, reports claim.
