Actor-comedian Raju Srivastava's health is now stable, his family informed through his social media handle on Saturday.

Raju, 58, suffering a heart attack while working out in a gym last Wednesday. He was rushed to AIIMS hospital in New Delhi and underwent angioplasty.

The statement from his family reads, "Raju Srivastava Ji's health is stable and doctors are treating him. Please ignore any kind of rumours. Kindly pray for him."

After several small-time acting stints, Raju Srivastava shot to fame as a stand-up comic on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He also appeared in Bigg Boss 3, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, but did not win. His film credits include Baazigar, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Bombay to Goa, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Firangi and others.
