The poster of Aanchhi, a comedy film based on the Covid-19 pandemic, was revealed on Monday. The movie, written and directed by ad filmmaker Lucky Hansraj, stars Subrat Dutta, Ishtiyak Khan and Sunita Rajwar. 

Aanchhi tells the story of a contract-rat killer who gets a new job but mistakes it for something else which changes the course of his life. 

“The  idea came up during the pandemic. I was frustrated staying inside four walls so I went to my farmhouse and developed this idea. My whole team supported me and our producer Komal backed us. Things started happening eventually and we shot Aanchhi during the pandemic with all precautions,” said Lucky.

One Way Ticket film producer Komal Unawnay shared what prompted her to back this film. She said, "As I'm a filmmaker who has started from zero in this industry, there's always a struggle for an individual producer to get actors. When our writer-director came up with this really interesting story, I liked it and we immediately started working on it. It’s an out-and-out comedy film where a miscommunication leads to hilarious situations.”

The film has previously travelled to many prestigious film festivals like the Caleidoscope Indian Film Festival of Boston, Indian Panaroma Film Festival, Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival 2021, 12th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival-22 and more. 

It will be released in theatres on August 25.
