Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi will team up for the Hindi remake of Driving License, reports claim.

The original 2019 Malayalam comedy revolved around a film actor, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran, who loses his driving license. Fishing for a new one, he engages a motor inspector, played by Suraj Venjaramoodu, who is also his big fan.

As per reports, Akshay will reprise Prithviraj's role with Emraan playing the cop. The Hindi adaptation will be helmed by Raj Mehta (Good Newwz) and produced by Dharma Productions.

If true, this is the first time Akshay and Emraan will star in a film together. Akshay had previously penned the foreword to Emraan's book The Kiss of Life (co-written with Bilal Siddiqi).
