The social comedy is streaming on ZEE5

ZEE5's Helmet was released earlier this month. The film, starring Aparshakti Khurrana, tackles the taboo around buying condoms in India.

Aparshakti says he's been flooded with messages from people who related to the film. "Helmet turned out to be a complete game-changer for me," the actor shares. "I have been getting so many messages telling me how relatable the movie is. Also, it's a proud feeling to know that so many people have watched and loved the movie on ZEE5 and this is just the beginning!"

In Helmet, Aparshakti's cash-strapped character leads a heist with two of his friends. But the delivery truck they robbed turns out to be full of condoms. Struggling to sell the loot in their conservative small-town, they decide to put on helmets and peddle the condoms anonymously.

"Our main objective while making the film was to create awareness while making people laugh and I believe that we have managed to do so," Aparshakti says, despite unfavorable reviews. "This movie will always be extra special to me because it is my debut film not only as a lead but my first after the birth of my daughter."

Aparshakti is presently working on Stardust, a period web series created by Vikramaditya Motwane.
