Akshay Kumar flies back from Cinderella shoot to be with ailing mother

Akshay Kumar on Monday flew back to India from the UK as his mother is unwell at a Mumbai hospital. Akshay was shooting for his film Cindrella in the UK but had to leave production to be with his ailing mother, reports state.

The actor, however, has asked his producers to continue filming scenes that do not require him. His other commitments will also continue, a source told Hindustan Times. 

Akshay's mother, Aruna Bhatia, is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Hiranandani Hospital in Mumbai. 

Cindrella is a supposed remake of the 2018 Tamil psychological thriller Ratsasan. The Hindi version stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. In an earlier interaction, Akshay confirmed he is shooting for Cindrella without delving into details.
