Saira Banu diagnosed with heart problem, still in ICU

The 77-year-old actor is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital

Veteran actor Saira Banu has been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome, PTI reported today. The 77-year-old actor has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai since August 28. She had suffered breathlessness, high blood pressure and high sugar.

"Yesterday, her cardiac tests happened and she has been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome,” a Hinduja Hospital doctor told PTI.

Saira Banu, diagnosed with a heart problem, has refused permission for an angiogram program, the report added.

Saira Banu has been in iconic films like Junglee, Duniya, Padosan and others.

Her husband, the legendary actor Dilip Kumar, passed away on July 7. He was 98.
