John Abraham wraps up Ek Villain Returns

CE Features

John Abraham has wrapped up his portions for Ek Villain Returns. Directed by Mohit Suri, the sequel also stars Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria. The film is set for a theatrical release on July 8, 2022.

"Shooting for 'Ek Villain Returns' has been a seamless experience," John shared. "This is the first time since my debut film (Jism), in which coincidentally Mohit Suri was the first AD and now he's the director, that I have come back to the same school of filmmaking. Mohit didn't need to tell me much. He would tell me a word and I would get it."

John added that he typically hates night shoots and rain. However, he enjoyed doing all that on this film. "There were no complaints. Everything felt too good to be true. I will push aside everything to work with Mohit again."

Ek Villain Returns is co-produced by T-Series and Balaji Telefilms. The film's release will coincide with Eid al-Adha next year.

John's upcoming releases are Satyameva Jayate 2 and Attack.
