Abhimanyu Singh plays one of the antagonists in Sooryavanshi. His character, Riaaz, is a Lashkar operative living in Rajasthan. The film opens with DCP Veer Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), who leads the ATS unit, bringing Riaaz in.

Abhimanyu has played baddies and villains all his career, appearing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bhojpuri cinema. He views his character in Sooryavanshi as not a typical villain.

"My character is not a typical baddie, he has his own ideology, does things for his people, and is very real with an emotional undercurrent," Abhimanyu says.

"I am happy to receive so much love for my role. Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh together come in the climax to avenge and that is the moment for me, I am so honored to be part of the project and this one will always remain closer to my heart."

Besides Sooryavanshi, Abhimanyu also appears in the Rajinikanth-starrer Annaatthe this week. His upcoming film is Bachchan Pandey, also with Akshay Kumar.
