Directed by Aanand L Rai, Atrangi Re is a love story starring Dhanush, Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. The film is written by Himanshu Sharma. The storyline touches on issues of mental illness and communal violence. One of the primary characters, Sajjad Ali, played by Akshay, is a Muslim, which seems to have riled up sentiments online.
