The motion poster of the much-awaited fantasy-superhero film Brahmastra is here. The film is headlined by Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and helmed by Ayan Mukerji.

The motion poster was released through a special event which was attended by the cast and crew of the film. The video features Ranbir, engulfed in flame, wielding a trishul (trident). In the motion poster, Ranbir as Shiva, a modern man who comes to possess ancient powers and manipulate fire, speaks of events and powers that are outside of human understanding. He also mentions ancients powers and magic, which piques Isha's (Alia) interest. She asks him why he is the only one who is able to witness all that is supernatural. She also asks him, "Who are you, Shiva?" 

Brahmastra, the first film of a trilogy has been in the making for a long time. The film unites Ranbir with Alia as Isha and Amitabh Bachchan as his mentor figure. The cast also features Akkineni Nagarjuna as an archaeologist, and Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy in key roles. 

The film was initially slated to release on December 4, 2020. However, the release was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film is jointly produced by Fox Star Studios and Dharma Productions. Brahmastra will release in theatres in five languages on September 9, 2022
