Abhishek Bachchan and Shalini Pandey have not been approached for the Hindi remake of Oh My Kadavule, the makers have confirmed in a press note.

On Thursday, it was reported that Abhishek and Shalini, along with actor Meezaan Jafri, have been cast in the remake, which will be helmed by Ashwath Marimuthu.

Denying the news, an official spokesperson for the film stated that "as of now the makers are on the scripting stage and no actors have been finalized for the project."

Oh My Kadavule is a 2020 Tamil fantasy-romance film. It stars Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh and Vani Bhojan.

This is the second South remake Abhishek has been linked with. Earlier reports claimed he has acquired the rights to the 2019 Tamil thriller Oththa Seruppu Size 7. The actor, working with director R Parthiban, has reportedly started shooting for the film in Chennai.
