Trailer out for upcoming family drama Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret

The first official trailer for the upcoming family comedy family-drama Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Billed as a coming-of-age drama, the film is based on a novel of the same name by Judy Blume which was released in 1970. 

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret revolves around a sixth-grader by the name of Margaret Simon who goes on a quest to discover her religious identity since her parents are both from Christian and Jewish backgrounds. 

The film is directed by Kelly Fremon Craig who has also written the screen adaptation of the novel. It stars Abby Ryder Fortson in the titular character, She is best known for playing the younger version of Cassie lang in Ant-Man and its sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The film also stars Rachel McAdams, Benny Safdie, and Kathy Bates. The music for the film is composed by legendary music composer Hans Zimmer. Released by Lionsgate, the film is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on 28 April 2023.
