Netflix releases trailer for upcoming series 1899 from the creators of Dark

The first episode for the series is all set to premiere on 17 November.

The first official trailer for Netflix’s upcoming series titled 1899 has been released online. The mystery horror is created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. They are best known for creating the hit sci-fi mystery series Dark which aired in 2017 and ended its three season run in 2020. Odar and Friese are reuniting with their Dark star Andreas Pietschmann for the series.

The first episode for the series is all set to premiere on 17 November. The trailer reveals a gripping mystery unfolding in the middle of the ocean. Passengers aboard the New-York bound ship Kerberos find an abandoned ship called Prometheus floating in the middle of the ocean. Trying to investigate Prometheus, the people aboard Kerberos inadvertently end up being caught up in a larger mystery.

The repeated triangle motif shown in the trailer and in the cryptic first look poster tells us that the series will use the infamous Bermuda Triangle conspiracy as a central plot point. The multi-lingual series will simultaneously release in German, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, and Danish. 

The ensemble cast of the series includes Andreas Pietschmann, Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Miguel Bernardeau, Miguel Bernardeau, Mathilde Ollivier, Emily Beecham, Aneurin Barnard, Isabella Wei, and Clara Rosager
