Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer: Miles Morales goes on a multiversal adventure

The film is a sequel to the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which pioneered a new style of animation that combines both CG and hand-drawn animation

The first official trailer for Sony Picture Animation’s upcoming animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been released online. The trailer features six different animation styles to distinguish between the different universes that Miles Morales travels across in his adventures. 

The film is a sequel to the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which pioneered a new style of animation that combines both CG and hand-drawn animation. 

Across the Spider-Verse is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson and is based on a screenplay written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and David Callaham. Shameik Moore returns to voice Miles Morales/SpiderMan while Oscar Issac joins the cast to voice Spider-Man 2099. 

A female-centric spin-off film revolving around Gwen Stacy’s Ghost-Spider, voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, is currently in the works. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 3 June 2023.
