The upcoming Netflix series Icebreaker has found its leads in Daisy Jelley (How To Have Sex) and Connor Simos (Subversion). Jelley plays Anastasia Allen, and Simos portrays Nate Hawkins. The series is a college hockey romance drama. The series is a New York Times best-selling novel by Hannah Grace. The book is the first in a trilogy, titled Maple Hills. The novel was originally published in 2023 after an initial release in November 2022.

In Icebreaker, Anastasia is gunning for Olympic gold, and Nate is the campus star pursuing the NHL. An accident forces them to share one rink. Anastasia and Nate collide. Soon discipline gives way to obsession, and now they want to win each other. With Jade Halley Bartlett creating Icebreaker, Amanda Lasher serves as the writer and showrunner.
