The makers of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping have released the second trailer of the upcoming film. A spin-off to the The Hunger Games films, the upcoming film is set to release November 20.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is directed by Francis Lawrence, who has directed all other films in the franchise. Billy Ray and Michael Lesslie have adapted Suzanne Collins novel of the same name, which was published in March 2025.

The synopsis of the film is as follows, "Set in the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games, the story follows Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) into the arena, where he forms an unlikely alliance with fellow tribute Maysilee Donner (Mckenna Grace) and joins a coalition determined to challenge the Capitol’s control under President Snow (Ralph Fiennes). As the competition unfolds, Haymitch risks everything to take down the Games from within the arena — setting in motion the rebellion that will change Panem forever."

The cast of the film also includes Jesse Plemons, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak, and Kelvin Harrison Jr. Stars of the original films, Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are also set to return for the upcoming film.
