First look at Bosch: Start of Watch unveiled

Cameron Monaghan, known for his roles in Shameless and Gotham, will portray the titular detective, who was earlier played by Titus Welliver

The makers of Bosch: Start of Watch have unveiled the first look at the series. The upcoming series is a prequel to Bosch and Bosch: Legacy.

Cameron Monaghan, known for his roles in Shameless and Gotham, will portray Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch in the upcoming series which will follow Bosch's early days as a rookie police officer in the Los Angeles Police Department. Harry Bosch was earlier played by Titus Welliver, in Bosch, Bosch: Legacy, and Ballard.

The first look images also feature Omari Hardwick as Eli Bridges, Bosch's mentor. The cast of Bosch: Start of Watch also includes Ariana Guerra, JD Pardo, Kathleen Wilhoite, William Fichtner, Rafi Gavron, Raphael Sbarge, Azita Ghanizada, Kenneth Miller, Seamus Dever, Ryan McPartlin, Marco Rodriguez and Shelli Boone.

Created by Tom Bernardo, who also serve as the showrunner, and Brian Anthony, the upcoming series will consist of eight episodes. Hieronymus Pictures and Amazon MGM Studios are backing the series. The series will premiere early in 2027.
