Ahead of its December 25 release, Jumanji: Open World makers dropped another trailer on Wednesday, offering a closer look at the film's unique amalgamation of the gaming universe and the real world. With the characters in the game spilling over into the real world, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan's protagonists must help set the chaotic universe back into its original condition.

The Jumanji: Open World trailer appears to rekindle the same effervescent tone and adventure spirit of the franchise, thus continuing its legacy into the new millennium. As they dropped the trailer, the makers of the film, directed by Jake Kasdan, promise "one last adventure filled with action, comedy and surprises." The upcoming film is all set to bid farewell to the iconic franchise, which began with the 1995 Robin Williams starrer.

The upcoming film marks Dwayne Johnson's third outing in the franchise, the first two being 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level. It brings Johnson back together with Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan after their collaborations on the previous two films. All three films have tasted commercial success, making Jumanji one of the most loved adventure franchises in the world.

Sony Pictures Entertainment is set to bring Jumanji: Open World to theatres on December 25, also with dubs in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Production on the film has been wrapped.
