Netflix has announced that actors Elijah Wood and Orlando Bloom have joined the cast of The Gentlemen season three. The streamer also announced that the upcoming season has commenced production.

Guy Ritchie has created the series, which is now filming in the United Kingdom and Morocco. Speaking to Netflix about the upcoming season, Ritchie said, "The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight. A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further."

The Gentlemen follows the story of Eddie Horniman (Theo James), a duke who is the head of a criminal organisation. In the second season as Eddie tries to scale up his empire, he faces large opposition from all sides, which leads to huge losses.

The cast of the upcoming third season includes Kaya Scodelario, Robert Carlyle, Dexter Fletcher, Bruna Marquezine, Ed Speelers, Saffron Burrows, Philip Arditti, and Bugzy Malone.

For Wood and Bloom, the upcoming season will be a reunion after Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Wood will reprise his role of Frodo Baggins in Andy Serkis' The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum. Meanwhile, Bloom will be seen in David Michod's Wizards.
