Universal Pictures have released the first look at Michael B Jordan and Austin Butler from Miami Vice 85. The upcoming film is directed by F1 (2025) maker Joseph Kosinski.

The first look at the film features Jordan as the leather jacket wearing Ricardo Tubbs, and Butler as the suit clad Sonny Crockett, both gun wielding undercover officers of the Miami Police Department. Miami Vice 85 is an adaptation of the series of the same name, which starred Philip Michael Thomas as Tubbs and Don Johnson as Crockett.

The cast of the film also includes Alden Ehrenreich, Whitney Peak, Camila Morrone, Danny Ramirez, John Leguizamo, Walton Goggins, Andrew Schulz, Andre Holland, Edi Gathegi, and Michael Irby.

Kosinski is directing the film from a script by Dan Gilroy, who has directed Nightcrawler (2014). Kosinski is also producing the film along with Dylan Clark, who is backing the film under his Dylan Clark Productions banner.

Beyond Miami Vice 85, Jordan will be seen as the titular character in The Thomas Crown Affair, his sophomore directorial venture. Meanwhile, Butler will be seen alongside Jeremy Allen White in Enemies.
