With only two days to go for Tom Cruise's next film Digger's theatrical release, actor Melissa George recalled her days working with the superstar for a Mission: Impossible film. While the makers cut her part with the script getting rewritten, Melissa George had the opportunity to work with the world's biggest superstar on set. As the actor herself recalled in her latest social media post, "I was honored to have a role in the Mission series, but when they rewrote the trilogy, the part was no longer needed. Still, I got to work on set alongside Tom and witness the magic of this man."

Melissa George also spoke about Tom Cruise's generosity and kindness, underscoring it with a real-life example from her Mission: Impossible days. "I was in London, and the ride to set was about 2½ hours each way. He heard that it was too far for me, so he said, “Just go to Battersea and I’ll pick you up in the helicopter and fly you to work.” It took me only 16 minutes to get from my front door to set. I watched a man who is kind, giving, and generous."

Melissa George reminisced about an incident when Cruise asked her to call her children upon learning about their admiration for him. "I told him they were in Paris, that I’d left them to come and work with him. My kids are huge fans of Tom, so he told me to call them and wake them up. I said, “It’s the middle of the night, they’ll be asleep!” So he said, “Okay, then let’s make a video for them.” And he did, right there on set. Making sure to get their names correct," the actor shared.

She also said that Tom Cruise "did everything in his power" to help her get back to her son after the boy fell and picked up an injury. "He even offered to fly me to France so I could be there sooner. The weather wasn’t great, so I took the Eurostar at the last minute. That is the generosity of this gorgeous human being," she signed off.
