Jennifer Lopez has reacted to a viral dance scene from Prime Video's series Off Campus, which features her 2011 global hit 'On The Floor'. The sequence, involving Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn), recently went viral across social media platforms and introduced the song to a new generation of viewers.
Speaking to Variety on the red carpet of her new film Office Romance, Jennifer said she was excited to see the track making a comeback after more than a decade since its release. “The show is so cute. They happen to use my music, and it re-entered the charts after 15 years. When does this ever happen? The music business is so different now,” she said.
The now-viral dance sequence features Mika Abdalla as Allie and Stephen Kalyn as Dean Di Laurentis. The chemistry between the characters and the nostalgic use of the song made the scene go viral quickly, with fans widely sharing clips of the scene.
Originally released in 2011, 'On The Floor' became one of the biggest songs of Lopez's career, featuring rapper Pitbull. Following the scene from the series, the song once again gained popularity online. Spotify has also updated the looping background visual of the song on the platform to feature the viral dance scene from the series. Lopez herself jumped on the trend just days ago, recreating the viral dance scene with Mika Abdalla. The duo also posted a TikTok video together, fuelling the excitement among fans of the series and the singer.
