Actors Sebastian Stan and Ana de Armas will next star in an espionage thriller, Impunity, from filmmaker Felipe Galvez. The cast is completed by Alfredo Castro, Alejandro Goic, and Antonio Zegers.
Shot in both English and Spanish, in Chile, the UK, and Spain, the film revolves around one of the legal cases when Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet was arrested in London in 1998. Setting a precedent, a former dictator could be served justice transcending immunity outside his country.
Impunity is based on 38 Londres Street by Philippe Sands, a renowned lawyer and bestselling author. The book explores one of the biggest international criminal cases since the Nuremberg Trials. Galvez is collaborating with writers Mariano Llinas and Antonia Girardi for the screenplay. The Spanish arm of UK-based Quiddity, Rei Pictures, Ronda Cine, Les Films du Worso, Zeta Studios, Snowglobe, and Pathe are producing the film. Cinematographer Simone D'Arcangelo, composer Harry Allouche, and editor Matthieu Taponier are a part of the film's technical team.
