Actor Kevin Spacey has been attached to play the lead in the upcoming World War 2 drama titled Melodies in the Forest.
Spacey plays an 85-year-old famous conductor, Petr Novotni, whose wartime past resurfaces violently. The film follows Novotni, who gets abducted during a routine walk and soon recognises his abductor as Yosef, a Jewish composer he encountered in Terezin in 1942. On a closer examination by the investigators, Novotni's children discover that their father is not someone they believed him to be. Spacey will be joined by Vincent Spano, John Savage, Antonella Salvucci, Enzo Storico, Danny Kamensky, Andrea Bruschi, Riccardo Campione, and Casper Kellndorfer.
Written by Roberto Lippolis, Ventitre SRL is producing the film in co-production with Pink Flamingo Media Group. The film is set to go on floors in October. Apart from Melodies in the Forest, Spacey will also be seen in The Awakening, directed by Matt Routledge.
